I just want to take a moment and thank you for taking an interest in my blog! I hope what you find here is practical information about disciple making, posts that equip and train, and life stories that are engulfed in the love and passion of Christ Jesus.

I am a Christ-follower, husband, father, aspiring church planter, and will forever walk in response to God’s grace.

I grew up in small town Ohio on a hobby farm with dirt roads, small country churches, and a high school that loved its football team. Growing up, I played many sports (primarily baseball, basketball, and football), was involved in 4-H, and was taught to work hard. My walk with God was up and down during my teenage years, but in my junior year of high school God really got my attention and I began to really take ownership and lead out in my faith. I have also succeeded academically my whole life. In high school, I was granted a scholarship to the Ohio State University to study law. This had been my dream throughout high school, however after my senior year, while I was at a Christ In Youth Conference, God called me into ministry. This rocked my world because all the plans I had for my life went out the window. A few weeks later, after scrambling for what I was going to do, Kentucky Christian University called me and wanted to know if I would play football and study ministry. I gladly accepted.

I ventured to the hills of Kentucky where I met my beautiful wife, Ruth. I was at KCU for 3 years preparing and studying for a life in ministry. Ruth and I moved to Lexington, KY where our son, Xavier, and daughter, Mia, were born.

I spent three years as a Youth Minister at CenterPointe Christian Church in Lexington, KY. During this time, I also received my Master’s in Christian Leadership at Kentucky Christian University.

Recently, I was employed at Kentucky Christian University as Church Admissions Counselor. My goal is to see students enroll at KCU so that they can be trained to make disciples and follow Christ as they gain training for a career in whatever field they choose.

Currently, I am in the beginning stages of planting a church in the Portland metro area. The journey of planting a church will begin with an 18-month residency at a current church plant upon moving to Vancouver, WA.

I have a passion for seeing people take steps in following God and learning to walk as Jesus walked.

My Life Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in all circumstances give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”
