This week your students learned to understand the value human life, they must first understand God’s view of human life. Ask your student this week if they feel like they are vulnerable. Ask them what they are basing their answer on. If they say no, help them understand that their value was determined by Christ years ago by His life. If they say yes, make sure that their value is based on God’s view of their life and not the world.
CENTRAL TRUTH: To understand the value of life, you must understand God’s view of human life.
PERSONAL PARENT CHALLENGE:
- Dwell: One of the greatest tactics of Satan is to get you to believe the lie that the world promotes when it comes to the value of life. If it is an unborn baby in the womb or a teenage girl who is struggling with her identity, the world desires to fuel the lies that human life is not valuable. Think about the messages that you are listening to when it comes to the value of life. How you live your life and how you treat others will be a reflection of what you believe. Allow the truth of God’s Word to dwell in you and reflect on the Creator’s love for you.
- Memorize: Philippians 2:16a
- Pray: Let your prayer today focus on your understanding of what Jesus says about your value and how you can begin living in that message instead of the negative message of the world. Jesus values your life so much that He was willing to give His life for yours. Believe that truth and love it out today!
